What is born2run?

born2run is a limited company formed to serve the sporting community in Scotland. The directors of the company are all active sportspeople with a vested interest in improving the sports experience for participants and organisers.

born2run is headquartered at the Brumac centre in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire. Trained telephone operators are available there from 08:00 to 19:00 from Monday until Saturday to assist with race entries and anything else we can help with.

Race organisers can use the Sports Diary to help promote their races. This is a free service. The born2run website gets thousands of hits every day from sports people looking for events to take part in. From the Sports Diary entry for a particular race, potential entrants can view race details, obtain contact information, link to organisers websites, download an entry form and if required, enter the race online.

Organisers can, if they wish, arrange for born2run to accept online entries on their behalf. born2run create an online entry form to the organisers specification, collect the money and send it to the organisers bank, display a list of event entrants on the website, produce a database of information for the organiser, and produce optional results software preloaded with entrant information. The results software produces 'overall' and 'category' listings. Finished results can be automatically loaded back to the born2run website, and viewed there, and also seamlessly linked to organisers own websites.

born2run also offer a race management service for larger events. We are experienced in organising large races, and offer a complete package including personnel, race timing and results using rfid chip equipment, accomodation and transport arrangements, etc.

Sports Diary

We take event information from a variety of sources and compile the sports diary. You will find up to the minute information on all types of events. Contact information for the event orgainser, web site links and entry forms are usually available. We rely heavily on people like YOU to keep the diary up to date, so if you see any inaccuracies or omissions, please send an email to diary@born2run.co.uk. Webmasters of other sites who wish to have live sports diary information displayed on their pages should contact us.

Online Entry

born2run can take a large part of the work away from race organisers by providing them with an online entry system. From the sports diary, interested entrants enter their entry form information, then pay directly by credit card, debit card or paypal account. The money is transferred to the organisers bank account. A list of entrants is instantly available for all to see. born2run provide a results program preloaded with entrants. This program includes the option to upload the results to the internet on our webspace automatically. Organisers get a link to integrate the results seamlessly into their own websites.
